Some people say that LSU coach Les Miles must smoke grass based on some of his awful coaching decisions, but as it turns out he just enjoys eating grass. On a 4th-and-1 play Miles snatched up some grass and then ate it. The absurd superstition worked it’s magic and tight end DeAngelo Peterson gained 23 yards on an end-around.
Miles talked about his odd mid-game snack, “I have a little tradition that humbles me as a man, that lets me know that I’m a part of the field and part of the game. You should have seen some games before this. I can tell you one thing: The grass in Tiger Stadium tastes best.”
Hey Les, do you know they make flavored sunflower seeds these days that aren’t half bad?
“I see him do it every day. That’s Coach Miles. He eats that grass. I guess he says it has a lot of protein,” receiver Russell Shepard remarked about his cow, err coach. You could really say that Les Miles is the goat when they lose or win.
